Today was the day. I finally dropped off my Personal History Statement and took the written exam for a chance at a 2008 Vanderburgh Sheriff's Deputy job. From the time i passed the physical back in May up until today, I've seriously been stressed out. Having to get together and verify 21+ years of personal info everything from problems in Elementary school to family member felonies just to fill out the PHS. THEN I had to write an autobiography. I am not a person to talk about myself let alone having to write what seemed like a freaking book. Now I wait for the next three weeks for the results.

Honestly I am confident I passed today.

Now with nothing important to do, I can get back to playing CoD4......

-I live with my g/f Cassandra in an apt. on the west side of Evansville.
-wish said roommate and her friend would take the trash out and keep things a little cleaner once in awhile.
-I now work (have been for a couple months) at CMC.
-I still go to shows and I really wish more came this way
-I'm still me (straight edge, vinyl collector, love to eat, etc...)
-Graduated college but still waiting for my degree to come in the mail
-only see my friends here and there never no one really hangs out anymore
-turning 21 Sept. 28th, 2007 (going gambling if anyone wants to join)
-Would like a copy of Bringin' It Down (any color/press) for my birthday
-Embarrassed to say I DO NOT own a copy of my favorite record from my favorite band....
-I live a boring life, in a boring city, working a boring job....
-I think once I turn 21 and get to turn in an application for hire to the EPD things will be much better for me. I want a fucking career not just some job I half-ass like.

yea. My weekend ruled. Me and Cassandra worked out our differences and made up. I said some things I didnt mean (so did she) and we talked about it. I gave her some space Friday and hungout with her all day and late night Saturday. She's great. We've adopted a Nitendo DS Lite (Zoe Bell) and about to adopt again...I'll keep you posted. So......yeah. My weekend was pretty cool.

My car shut off while I was driving?!? Pretty cool right? It was pretty cool I guess....being on the side of the road is about as much fun as it looks to tell the truth.

This weekend I figured out how to take out a battery in a car, replace it, put a new alternator on, and replace my sensor for my fans/termostat. I'm a man's man.

I got to come home one day earlier this weekend so that ruled. Just spent it at my g/f house. Great times. We did lauch an attack on the neighbor's across the hall this weekend....finally.

Here's the story. Every night of the week the dude's next door play music full bass. Shit is stupid. Well some nights I'll be there and someone will come up and ring the bell or knock and run off. WELL I guess someone decided to throw an egg at the living room window. Still there. Well this weekend we decided we would fuck wtih them. We rang their doorbell and whatev....also threw an egg on their door. Didnt hear that bass or them for that matter all weekend after. SOO nice. Their plant goes off the baloney next....

Alright here goes. So I'm just about to finish the day off and before I leave my SGT. Bill Coy asks me if I saw the schedule...I look and everything and I freak. See starting today I have until NEXT Tuesday night off. Well I get to at the damn thing and it has me a FULL TIME guy that knows every INCH of the fucking hospital working NEXT MONDAY and TUESDAY. What the fuck? Full time does not mean 16 hrs. (one which I asked off 3-4 weeks ago). I called the Capt. as soon as I left the doors going out. Tells me something like how do you not understand. What is there to understand?! I fucking work Sunday-Thurs. when I have full weeks and only days off that have been off since I started (full list of the days during summer I needed off) I'm fucking fed up. I dont have to take this shit for $7.40 an hour. Deaconnes Security (Not Crescent City) make $10 an hr. for nothing but watching cameras...I'm calling soon and making sure everyone knows....my two weeks are in unless I get my hours back (the ones I want Tues-Thurs of next week) or my ass is gone!

My weekend with Reaction

Well I was off Thursday so I went to the dentist to fix a chipped tooth....felt like shit the whole rest of the day so I helped my aunt move in to her new apartment.

Friday got up around 5:30 AM due to my jaw/wisdom teeth hurting...supposed to be up around 7 AM to get ready and meet Reaction around 8 AM at JP church to leave for ATL. Got to Atlanta about an hour and a half early which would actually become two and a half hours early(show started at 8 not 7 like we thought) Went to Chipolas to eat burritos. I was told that Chip. was amazing compared to Moe's or Qudoba's but that is a false claim....it sucked. Only thing that was good about it was the spicy chicken. Moe's/Qudoba's or bust! Got to the place by foot...they played the Drunken Unicorn. Place was the shit. Had Iron Man robots painted on the walls on the right, left walls had unicorn picture clocks, behind the stage stars, and a mural of people like Sid Vicious, Blonde, and other people that have made music. Show finally started and Reaction put on a good show. They covered every cover they know (NFG, Ten Yard Fight, and Buried Alive). People went nuts for all of them. Depression (ATL. band feat. Hunter from Love is Red)...play a sound to the likes of Blacklisted/No Warning. Not too bad...Sinking Ships played a short/but sweet set due to the lead singer being sick. Down to Nothing played last and the kids were nuts. Stagedives every 5 seconds just everything went crazy and for good reason. I noticed a metal bar hanging out of the wall so I ran and jumped, grabbed this bar swung around and jumped into the kids by the stage....very clever i know. Made a new friend Jesse (from Depression...super nice guy). Left ATL. and headed for Nashville to drop Miles and Drew off at Miles' older brother's place. Stopped in Nashville and dropped them off and headed back to Evansville to let Chris work Sat.

Funny things that happened/were talked about on the way

-Chris FORGOT he let his guitar in 1123 so we couldnt get it and had a story made up so he didnt look retarded. Had to borrow all of Roger's (from Sinking Ships) equipment(not really funny...not even surprising).
-Going down the road while Chris was on the floor sleeping behind the bus seat all the drums fell on him.
-Favorite Sex Position talk
-Ever been caught masturbating??? discussion (The funniest Alex stories were brought up along with JP's dad(which is a Pastor)catching him in the act).
-Bobby the retard (Drew at the rest stop and again(much worse this time)at the gas station 30 mins away from ATL.
-Roadtrip music we listened to: Leeway, Pantera, On the Rise, Ringworm, Sinking Ships, Dag Nasty etc.
-Girl in Nashville that pulled up listening to Abc/123 in a convert. and all of us looking over. She even waved to us...

Saturday got home around 7 AM and just stayed up. I now have a Instilled complete collection with demos AND promo cd now. Got my Guns Up!-Outlive 12" and Final Word Fanzine #6 with Have Heart and the Wrong Side. Called my g/f at 7:30 to have her come over. Came over....laid around and slept all day. Went to Wendy's to eat. Came back to open my mail and get my 3 Right On preorders in the mail. Got every color...one of the most underrated bands on Malfunction I believe. Left my house at 3:40 to meet Lee, Micheal, and JP at the church to wait on Chris to get off at 5 PM. He finally got off around 6 PM. So we headed to Nashville. Got to Rcktwn and got to see Depression finish up their set (3 or songs I think) missed The Tradition who played first. Reaction played next and it was one of the best I've seen them play. Kids dancing (even circle pits!?) Coverd New Found Glory upon request and it was amazing. Sinking Ships played....amazing as always. Skated at Rcktwn Sixth Ave. skatepark with JP while Sinking Ships broke down gear and DTN setup. Nice place. Down to Nothing ruled as always and played a very powerful set. Covered Alone In a Crowd-Who You Know. The shit.....all I can say. Ate at Wendy's (for the second time!) w/ Keepitcore Bill, Chris, and Monica, Ed, two dudes, and a girl from Nashville, The Tradition, Reaction and xMichealx.

Funny things that happened while in Nashville:

Bill looking under a menu stand to look up a girls shorts (which were like as long as her hipbones) in Wendy's...."Ninja shit" he called it.
Jeremy (Tradition) talking about farting and a girl sitting close going "Do we really need to talk about that while we are eating?" Jeremy going Yea...that's the subject...I mean we all do it I'm not scared to talk about it.
Drew's/Jeremy S&A/Another Way tour stories.

Finally left Wendy's and I drove home. I think xMichealx drove there going 70-75...I drove home going 80-85. We finally got home around 4:30 or so...Good Time.

Got a flyer and full color poster from the show (DTN,Sinking Ships, Reaction)
Got a GB flyer poster for the Aug. 30th show at Rcktwn.
Got a free Depression cd which I'm sure rules.
Bought a sXe fanzine from Chase that came from Europe.
Bought the coolest shirt from The Tradition...

ALL it all....went very well. ATL. loves Reaction so Depression/Reaction tour is VERY likely.

Tonight....Heather's show at 1123 (if I ever finish this thing) and my g/f house. Thanks to Reaction (esp. Lee) for letting me go and also xMichealx for taking all of us.

My summer soo far......

Got a job. Security working 3rd shift at DSM for a week now at Gateway hospital in Newburgh. I fucking love making money to waste on records/shirts and just having money that I havent had since last summer. I'm off Fridays/Sat. nights. Last night was the best night ever. Some drunk lady came in by ambulance w/ police escort and started to flip out. in a (hickish voice) Give me my Fuckin phone...let me out of here. Let me call my g d husband. Only had like 6-7 beers. Let me the fuck out!?" About this time the police officer that came behind the ambulance tells her to settle down so the doctors and help her.....next thing she "Fuck this. I dont need your help I aint staying here" Now she pulls the IV out of her arm and blood starts spitting out. Health hazard so I get put in the room to hold this bitch down (gloves of course) They tie this lady down and I get to leave. Fun! I cant wait to see the fucked people that come in ER with a knife/gun shot or crazy shit like a pole sticking threw them. I fucking love telling true stories like that...You'll hear about it when they happen. Only thing i hate seeing is the babies that are sick (two came in last night)...soooooo cute...sooo sad to see. To transfer babies they put them in car seats and hook them into the stretchers. kinda funny to see.

So this weekend was great. Friday RIGHT AFTER class I started to drive to Louisville to stay with my friends Micah and his fiancee Rachel. Got there around 3 where I visited the malls (St. Mattew's and some other place) waiting for them to get off work and stuff. Met Micah at their apartment and had some problems. His toilet started to overflow (well flow from the bottom of the toilet). Well we leave and go out to eat at Qdoba's (burrito's that RULE over Moe's)...i fucking love it. After that went to the apartment to find that shit had come up the toilet and got on their carpet/floor. It sucked. SO we had to talk to the manager and that just pissed Micah off and made shit bad. Since the house had shit in it the landlord said he was kicking them out when called again about the toilet problems. Later found out the upstairs toilet was the problem and the kid up there put a toy in it and got it stuck in the pipes. Landlord chilled and couldnt kick them out since it was the upstairs problem. We couldnt stay there so we got a hotel(at the manager's expense) called the Jameson Inn. NICE place. Had breakfast (omelet with cheese, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffle, apple and orange juice is what i had) they also had bacon and sauage, bagels, toast, coffee, cereal and milk. Crazy breakfast when most have like cereal and donuts. haha. Went to visit Rachel and went out on the town to hangout. Went to Dillan's house and bought a MENTAL Planet Mental 2005 tour shirt, Champion Drug-Free longsleeve, Have Heart What Counts 2nd press Green, and Champion Come out Swinging on Clear for $30 bucks. I know SWEET! Went back (me and Rachel did) to swim in the pool and sauna. Went to the show where I got in free (Dillan put me on the guest list for buying shit from him) THANKS Dillan! Got to see Lords, Coliseum, and Municipal Waste for free?! MW was the shit and some of the funniest shit I have ever seen. They threw out boogy boards to crowd surf with. Municipal Waste is to the likes of DRI and Cross Examination if you dont know. I love that thrashy shit. I didnt even know they were until Sat. I thought they were some shitty metal band but I love them. Got two HUGE slices of pizza and a bottle of Cherry Coke at Spineli's for $2.50 (thanks Matt). Went to Dustin's apt. and hungout and afterwards went to the hotel to sleep. Left around 10 am. SUnday. THANK YOU MICAH and RACHEL for having me over and wanting me to come down soooo bad! I'll be going down there again soon when they move to the apt. by Dustin. NICE PLACE. Love them!
